About

Kat Torello’s Decorative Painting transforms spaces into showcase rooms for her client’s homes and businesses. Using her 22 years of experience in graphic design and decorative painting,  Kat works directly with clients or in collaboration with designers  to bring to life their ideas and goals with her creativity and expertise with color, texture & products.

Kat’s talents can infuse spaces with warmth, richness and texture using many cutting edge products and techniques to produce unique surface finishes. While she can also decorate contemporary spaces with clean, sophisticated looks.  In addition to enlivening spaces she is also capable of creating custom artwork as well.   Let her revamp your child’s space, she’ll add playfulness and whimsy with a mural, stripes or just with color.   Images of the final products speak loudly about her ability and vision.

No challenge is to big for the crew of painters at Torello Painting.  Kat and her team have made over entire homes and commercial spaces into fresh flowing designer spaces, sometimes under tight deadlines. These spaces reflect the clients personality or design direction. While the artistic element she produces can be the show stopper, (i.e, Silver leaf on the ceiling in Silver Restaurant) her work is  also known to compliment the other design element in the space. Her attention to detail and finishing touches make her work stand out. She has also been called in to fix “Work her Magic” and match existing finishes and repair spaces. Recycling furniture with a fresh coat paint or stain can create a new look.

Good Things Utah, a daily  television program has hosted Kat, as a Specialty Paint Expert 11 times. She loves to show DIY’s how to do projects. Her enthusiasm  about the transformation one can make with paint, texture and color is contagious.  She has also been on Studio 5 and PCTV.

Kat lives in Utah but will travel as projects dictate. Happily, client referrals are available upon request. She holds a degree in Design from University of Vermont, where she received the Martha Cadwell Award in Design. She is frequently taking classes to learn new products, styles and techniques and  to stay up to date with the latest trends in color and decoration.
